BRIAN AGOSTA, CCP, C.E.M.

Principal
Brian was born and raised in San Diego.  Growing up the son of an engineer, Brian’s interest in the way things work was groomed from an early age. He chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and attended the California Maritime Academy where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2003.  While attending the Academy, Brian spent his summers traveling the world on the schools training ship, The Golden Bear. The Academy taught Brian the discipline needed to be a successful engineer, while also giving him the opportunity to apply theory to real life applications.

Upon graduation, Brian received a commission as an officer in the United States Naval Reserve. Brian spent the early years of his career working as a Marine Engineer aboard multiple ocean going vessels. This experience honed Brian’s ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain a wide variety of systems.  Everything from power generation to waste water treatment, Brian was exposed to it all while spending time at sea on these “self-contained floating cities”.

Brian continues to live in San Diego with his wife and their two children.  Their support allows him to do what he does and motivates him for more. In his free time, he loves being a husband, a father, working on vintage Volkswagens and making trips with his kids to Home Depot to replace the tools they’ve already started to destroy.
